Chad L. Smith is in his first season at Williston High School as the Wide Receivers Coach, passing game advisor, and Head Track and Field Coach. At Dunnellon High School Chad served as Qurterback Coach/Co-offensive Coordinator. Smith was a Student Assistant for four seasons on the University of Arkansas Football Staff. Smith also coached semi-professional football in Tampa, FL focusing on Defense and Special Teams. Coach Smith received his bachelor’s degree in kinesiology with a Coaching Concentration in December 2011. Currently Chad is attending Ohio University working toward a Master in Coaching Education.
Chad L. Smith has had many highlights during his career. At Dunnellon High School, a Five-A program. Coach Smith installed the pistol offense; his QB achieved a 72% completion rating, and 935 passing yards. The Tigers QB also rushed for 850 yards. Chad also produced the #2 ranked Wide Receiver in District 5A-5. During Coach Smith's time with the Arkansas Razorbacks as a Student Assassinate, he was responsible for coordinating with the coaches; including assisting in the development of the Quarterbacks, assisting in the recruiting process, and breaking down film using the XOS program. Chad also coached the Tight Ends and Running Backs at the 2009, 2010, and 2011 Razorback’s football camp. In addition, Coach Smith supervised quality control during all practices, and coordinated with the Director of Football Operations to ensure proper daily management of the program, as well as successful bowl game trips, which included the BCS Sugar Bowl, the Cotton Bowl, and the Liberty Bowl. Chad also coached several Semi-Professional Football teams in the Florida Football League, the premier Semi-Pro football league in the state. In 2007, Chad helped to take the Tampa Bay Bulldogs to the championship game, with a 7-1 record, and sending four defensive linemen to Arena League teams, producing more sacks and tackles than any of my predecessors, and leading the number one defensive line in the league. With the Tampa Bay Tigers Coach Smith was the Defensive Coordinator heading the, "Hatchet Men Crew" a 4-3 multiple defense. Coach Smith broke into the coaching industry with the Clearwater Stars as a Defensive Line Coach.
